Show your support for Rural Water

California Rural Water Association (CRWA) board and staff will be joining the National Rural Water Rally in Washington, D.C., in February 2025. Every year, Rural Water Associations gather in D.C. to discuss current regulatory changes and program funding for water and wastewater initiatives and rural communities. Team CRWA makes every effort to meet with as many of the 52 Representatives who represent our state as well as our two senators. Topics include the current needs and issues faced by communities and water systems throughout our state as well as encouraging the continued funding for Water and Wastewater programs including USDA Rural Development.

Rural-water-strongNational Rural Water has spearheaded a Rural Water Strong initiative to draw awareness of and support for these vital programs. Affordable loan and grant opportunities as well technical assistance and training enable small and rural areas to have access to safe drinking water—a fundamental necessity that approximately 146,000 rural households still do not have. With the threat of possible budget cuts to USDA, Water Environmental Programs could be left underfunded and jeopardize communities throughout rural America. Learn more about this initiative by visiting https://www.ruralwaterstrong.org/ and pledge your support.

CRWA encourages participation from our members in the D.C. Rally. For more information about attending, you can visit https://nrwa.org/rural-water-rally/.
