Rural Water Rally 2025 in Review

California Rural Water Association (CRWA) Board and staff attended the Rural Water Rally hosted by National Rural Water Association (NRWA) February 3-6, 2025, in Washington D.C. Each state Rural Water Association visits their respective congressional offices to encourage support for water programs that are federally funded including training and technical assistance, USDA loan and grant programs, emergency response programs, and water/wastewater apprenticeship.

Team CRWA split into three groups who spent the week on Capitol Hill to meet with the fifty-two congressional offices. A huge thank you to members and friends who submitted letters of support to their congressional representatives. These letters were hand-delivered to each of the fifty-two Representative offices and the two California Senators.

Overall, we were well received in the face of many unknowns as the new administration takes office, but CRWA will remain diligent to the cause for our California neighbors.
