Pre-Apprenticeship & Credentialing

Overview

Pre-Apprenticeship programs are typically designed for high school and pre-college age kids but CRWA has partnered with SiaTech charter schools and CSUS office of Water Programs to start a water/wastewater pre-apprenticeship program. in this case we will be working with people ranging in age from 16-24.

Next Steps

If you are considering a pre-apprenticeship program in your local area/community CRWA can assist you in getting a program started. There needs to be buy in from your local school district, agreements with industry partners (CRWA) to provide industry specific trainings, an avenue to go from a pre- apprenticeship program graduation to a full apprenticeship program, as well as a pathway for job shadowing/ work experience locally in the industry.

The credentialing portion of pre- apprenticeship has been done and CRWA can assist you in establishing credentialing and competency-based courses for your program.
