This no-cost workshop is targeted to small communities and rural, disadvantaged systems. It is beneficial for Water Operators and System Managers of Private, Public and Tribal Systems. It will cover the following topics:

Drought Preparedness:

  • The course will review different types of drought and their impacts, and provide a review of statewide and regional water conditions.
  • It will cover emergency plans required for SDWA compliance, technical, managerial, and financial capacity, and the drought planning process.
  • This course will review the challenges that small water systems and tribes face, and the resources and solutions available.
  • It will also cover the different types of forms of water conservation planning with information based on your water system needs and capabilities.
