CRWA Seeks Operator of the Year Nominations

California Rural Water Association invites nominations for outstanding water and wastewater operators by March 1.

The California Rural Water Association (CRWA) is accepting nominations for its Annual Water and Wastewater Operator of the Year awards, giving member systems a chance to recognize personnel who go above and beyond in managing their systems. Each CRWA member system may submit one nomination in each category, water or wastewater. Nominations may come from co-workers, management, boards, or office staff.

Nominees must be certified operators with the appropriate certifications for their system and at least two years of full-time work there. Winners will be selected based on how the nominee has contributed to the system’s operations and demonstrated commitment to the system and its constituents. Achievements inside and outside the system, along with letters of recommendation, will also be considered.

Nominations must include proof of certification, the nominee’s job description, a narrative of contributions and achievements, and contact information for follow-up. Materials must reach CRWA by March 1, 2027, and recipients will be notified by March 31. Winners must be able to attend the 2027 CRWA Education Expo on May 11, 2027.
