CRWA Opens Enrollment for 2025 Apprenticeship Track

The California Rural Water Association (CRWA) is now enrolling for its Water/Wastewater Specialist Apprenticeship Program, a two-year, federally registered training track designed for current utility employees. The new Apprenticeship Track will begin on October 14, 2025.

Apprentices receive:

  • 300+ hours of classroom training
  • 4,000 hours of on-the-job experience
  • Eligibility for state certifications (Water or Wastewater Grades 2–3, Backflow Tester, OSHA-10, and much more)

Tuition is $1,500 per year, totaling $3,000 for the full program, which includes all books and materials. Prior experience may count toward program requirements.

CRWA also offers eligibility pools and temporary job placements to support new apprentices. If your water system needs additional help, and looking to hire entry-level personnel, please reach out to our staff today to find an applicant in your area!
