This ceremony honors apprentices who have spent the last years putting in the time, effort, and dedication it takes to succeed in the industry. This hands-on training program is designed to strengthen California’s rural water workforce. Through a combination of classroom instruction and real-world experience, graduates are now equipped with the skills necessary to operate, maintain, and improve critical water infrastructure across the state.

Participants gain industry-recognized certifications in water and wastewater operations, safety, and system management, preparing them for long-term, sustainable careers in the field.

The apprenticeship graduation is often held in conjunction with CRWA’s annual Education & Exhibitor Expo, taking place April 27–30, 2026, in South Lake Tahoe. This event brings together water professionals from across the state to connect, learn, and celebrate achievements within the industry.

We’re so proud of this group and can’t wait to celebrate them at Expo!
