A pre-project survey will be conducted for leak correlation with a goal to rank and identify entities with the most prioritized need of assistance and list development.

A Leak Detection Survey is a physical evaluation of a water system to identify specific leaks. It involves using a listening device to find leaks in pipes or fittings within the distribution system.

WHAT IS WATER LOSS?

Water loss identification is not that difficult. It takes a conscientious approach, awareness by everyone involved in the water delivery process, and an earnest effort in maintaining a functional system. Prevention today may save dollars tomorrow. Real and apparent losses add up over time if not checked and properly recorded or fixed. Stop those leaks and stop your losses. Equipment information: How do I know which equipment I should purchase? Who should I call or talk to? How do I know which is best for my water system? How much does it cost? All of your questions will be answered, plus it will include a table top demo.

Instructor: Michael Sims, CRWA Trainer, has 28 years of experience in the water industry, as a certified operator. He is experienced in Leak Detection Survey, ground micing, pipe locating, mapping, troubleshooting, modern methods of leak detection, sonic leak detection, and correlation equipment.

Who Should Attend: Operators, managers, office personnel, board members and all who need to be refreshed with new tips and techniques in leak detection and are willing to learn. Come bring your equipment and share your techniques and talents as well.
